This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a kid, was it hard to see the pages in the books when you were in class? My students are struggling to see books when I try to hold up the books with my hands.

My class and I are located in Texas in a small school in a high poverty area.

They are preschoolers with very curious minds. One of my students loves to learn new things and is always open to learning how things work. I have many other students who are attending school for the first time and enjoy it very much!

My Project

If we receive a big book stand it could help our class tremendously in so many ways. My students can use it as a center, they can use it to pretend read and they can also use the stand to manipulate different magnetic materials. This big book stand would become an excellent addition to our class room and I believe the students would really be grateful.

I know how it is coming from an impoverished area and school was the only place you can go to discover new things.

That is exactly how these students are, they really want school to be a exciting and learning environment. Most children don't have anything at home to help their learning needs like school. If we are chosen we would be grateful for your help. Thanks in advance for listening!
