My Students
More than half of my students are from low-income families. Their young minds are sponges soaking up all the learning they can. A students' tools and environment help engage them to learn. I love to make my class bright and engaging for them.
My students work hard and try their best.
Learning to read and write is difficult, but they press on toward the goal. They are learning lifelong skills that they will use. They are a joy to teach!
My Project
Students will be able to view extra large size big books easily. I use big books, large enough for the whole class to see the text and pictures to teach many concepts. They will view the big books in the display during shared reading, language lessons, comprehension strategy lessons and to learn from mentor texts. There is also storage for the books in the back. Currently, it is hard to juggle holding a big book and teach from it at the same time. It would benefit both the teacher and students.
