My Project
Dear prospective donors, I am reaching out to you on behalf of BHS's ambitious project – the BHS Cardboard Boat Regatta!
This exciting endeavor allows our students to combine creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork to design and construct functional boats made entirely from cardboard and duct tape, where we will put them to the test in a competitive race in our own swimming pool!
Duct tape is an essential building material for constructing sturdy and water-resistant cardboard boats. With your support, our students will have the opportunity to experiment with different design concepts, reinforce structural integrity, and problem-solve in real-time. Your duct tape donation will not only hold their boats together but also bind their learning experiences in a way that textbooks cannot.
With this project, we can foster a hands-on, practical approach to learning physics and engineering principles. This activity will challenge students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world context, encouraging them to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop problem-solving skills in a STEM setting, teaching them to become future innovators!
