This project is fully funded

I am a Kindergarten teacher who teaches 17 spectacular students at Mary Bethune Elementary in College Park, GA. Of my 17 kindergarten students, 5 of them are already reading. Amazing isn’t it and it is just the third month of school. This year our school has set a goal to have 300 books in each classroom by Thanksgiving. What a magnificent concept! As a teacher, I feel this is a great way to expose my students, who come from low income families, to different authors, genres and other worlds that they would otherwise not have access to. Our media center is filled with a plethora of exciting books but many of my students will not have a chance to read them because there is only one copy of each book, and as you may know, the best ones are always checked out. In order to meet the “300 by Thanksgivings” goal set by my school, I need more books in my classroom library. I am asking your assistance in making this a reality for my students. Please help me obtain these fascinating books and take my students beyond what they can see.
