My Students
They are super thoughtful and kind! They notice when I am having a hard day and do their best to support me. In my class our favorite time of day is creative writing. They love the "finish the story" prompts and amaze me every time with their creativity.
This is a new and challenging time for all of us.
Starting November 2nd, My class is hybrid, half being online and half being in person.
My Project
Starting in November, my class of 5th graders will be split between online and in person learners.
My goal is to make sure all of my students feel equally included no matter where they are learning from.
The technology needed to make this happen is a wireless projector to show my students on the wall in my classroom (and the necessary cords), a remote clicker so I can navigate my lesson from anywhere in my room, and some light covers to make that part of my room dark enough to see the projector. I think having the students on something larger than a computer screen will bring a sense of inclusion and normalcy to my class.
This is a whole new world of teaching due to COVID-19, but I really think this addition to my classroom will make a world of difference.
