Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a wonderful group of students from many socioeconomic and racial backgrounds, there are over 40 languages spoken by the student body.
Our school is not only a melting pot of cultures but an incubator for innovative approaches to succeeding in a global community.
Students work hard together with their peers and do a fabulous job of putting differences behind them and working together. The students are always helping each other understand the material or improve their ability to produce high-quality work. My students inspire me to work harder and do better. They have a strong desire to do well and I want to provide the tools for them to do well.
My Project
I will be teaching remotely and (hopefully) in a hybrid model this year. The lights in this project are to add color to the videos that I will make for my students. Rather than just have a video shot of me talking or demonstrating how to do something I would like to add different colors and lighting effects to increase the visual appeal of my videos. When our school returns to in-person learning social distancing will be important, the HDMI splitters will allow me to place TVs that I already have around my room to make my screen closer to everyone.
