Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Classroom seating options are limited at my school. I've provided a soft corner of carpet and pillows, a beanbag chair and one rocker/wiggle chair for 26 students. I want to provide more options of seating for the students. My teammates have some of these items and the students seem to be engaged more and are working better at their schoolwork.
My students who have used the alternative seating in my room have been engaged in their work and less disruptive.
It is awesome to see them striving to do the best they can do in an environment they enjoy.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. And provided choices for them to allow them to be assertive in their learning process. The wobble chairs will help the students who need to be moving, stay put but move, in a contained area.
I am looking forward to seeing continued growth in the classroom with the new flexible seating options I have requested! Watch us wiggle and grow!
