My Project
The view of our library collection offers an expanse of book spines standing at attention. However, these books are not attracting attention of our students.
Clear, front-facing book bins allow students of all abilities a better view of our library collection.
With these bins the collection can be displayed in a front facing manner, like a bookstore. Book covers provide students more information about the book, offering struggling and beginning readers a chance to independently select the perfect book just like their peers.
The Rolodex will house student library cards. Having the cards houses in one place fosters independence by allowing younger students to practice checking out books with a library card and providing older students ability to participate in self-checkout if classes are in the library.
