This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students not only love listening to well-written read-alouds, but they also enjoy sharing them with our Pre-K Book Buddies. We practice reading in our classroom and then share the love of books as my third graders read aloud to others.

Reading aloud provides a model of fluent, expressive reading, and helps children recognize what reading for pleasure is all about.

Great read-aloud books are a classroom must. Authors like Jo Witek, Kobi Yamada, Adir Levy, and Ganit Levy create beautiful picture books with inspirational messages that both students and adults love.
