This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher in a Title I priority school. This means that there is very little funding, yet we have a high need for materials to support instruction. My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. These challenges do not stop them from participating at home virtually and in class with a bright smile and an eagerness to learn something new.

My "littles" thrive with fun and engaging activities to keep them motivated for learning and success.

From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn.

My Project

My students work hard and are determined to demonstrate their best ability to show growth. My classroom is a safe space where students can feel comfortable and confident in their abilities. I want to create an environment where students can access their learning materials easily, stay organized, and are set up for success.

My students deserve a positive and safe learning environment after such a challenging school year.

We plan on using these supplies in the classroom daily to support students' organization skills, create durable visuals to support learning, and work on their social-emotional growth throughout the coming school year and beyond!!
