My Students
We work in one of the most diverse counties in the United States known as Queens, New York! We work in a school with a wide variety of students who come from different backgrounds including students who have just recently immigrated to New York.
What makes my school and students so special, is that they are all unique with a shared love for technology, reading, and math as well as learning disabilities and ENL learners.
Each student is eager to learn and excited to be welcomed to a wonderful and colorful classroom where learning never ends and mistakes are welcomed! We are NYC public school proud!
My Project
Currently in our integrated classroom, we have a very old kidney table that we found laying somewhere in the building. Although it serves its purpose for now, we want to be able to have the students get the best instruction during small group and beyond! We feel the added whiteboard feature will enhance lessons, help students who are both visual and kinesthetic learners as well as make it engaging and fun! In a world of technology, there is nothing like a live teacher who is passionate and knowledgeable! (Special note! The kidney table we currently have, is made for lower grades, our growing bodies need something bigger!)
