This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

After our 1st week of school, I have gotten to know the 50 students I will teach this year. I have more students than ever that have sensory, movement, and special needs. I have installed a sensory path to use as an outlet for all energy. From my years of experience, the social and emotional needs of my students directly impact instruction. I will use these tools, such as cushions, ball chairs, and fidget tubes, to guide students in identifying and learning how to manage their feelings. I will encourage individuality and ensure all students feel welcomed and empowered in our class.

I have never had a funded project in the past and would be honored to be one step closer to creating a home within my classroom.
