My Project
Some people have no idea how hungry kids come to school and how it affects their social, emotional, and learning capacities. Many of our students come to school for breakfast and lunch, social interaction, and a safe space to learn and make friends. I love the fact that my students are dedicated to a safe learning space and strive for that extra push. Almost 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches and are minorities, yet they look forward to learning. These materials will provide the students with snacks and water to help them focus and not feel hungry throughout the school day. The basic needs are often neglected, and some kids won't ask for help. I am also requesting feminine hygiene products and other toiletries for those in need.
