Being Creating While in the Afterschool Program!

My Students

My classroom is affected by the coronavirus pandemic because the school serves a diverse, low-income population with 98% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch and many students speak other languages. My students are resilient and hardworking. They are excited and inquisitive, which makes a great match for success.

Many of my students do not have many supplies.

I am now using Zoom and Microsoft Teams to teach, connect, and listen to the many challenges that they are experiencing this school year while we are still in a pandemic. I really want to make learning engaging for my students. I want the students to be excited about coming to class during daily.

My Project

The Cricut Maker 3 - DIY Machine Compatible with Matless Cutting Circut Smart Materials Professional Level Vinyl, HTV Iron On, and Leather Projects is a very excellent way for my students to create projects while in afterschool program. There are a lot of students that are very interested in learning how to create projects with the Circuit Maker 3.

The students in the afterschool program will be able to take pride and ownership during the entire creative learning process from planning, creating, reflecting, publishing, and displaying their projects throughout the classroom and the school building.

Please make this project a reality for my students as they learn how to be creative while learning.
