A place for everything..and everything in its place!
The students that I will be working with are students that have been identified as not meeting grade level expectations.
They are students who are not performing at grade level and therefore need the extra support outside of the traditional classroom setting. I service children in kindergarten, first grade and second grade, many being English Language Learners. The children are excited to learn, yet there is a wide achievement gap between them and their peers; Their time with me is to help assist in closing that gap.
My Project
The children that I service range in grades from kindergarten to second grade. Due to the fact that I see so many groups of children, our materials are often left out without a proper place to put them. I am requesting a low profile bookcase as well as a variety of storage baskets to store our materials.
I feel that is is very important to teach children that everything has a place. In order for them to be prepared to learn, they need to be able to locate their materials quickly so that we can get started and they can maximize their time with me. The bookcase and baskets will do just that!
Your support to this project will help me to instill responsibility and the life skill of organization in my students.
With the addition of a bookcase and storage baskets, I will be able to help my students store their materials neatly, so that the next time they visit me, they will be able to quickly gather their materials and get to work.
