My Students

I am an ESL grade teacher in Pennsylvania. My classroom is made up of many eager K to 8th graders. My goal is to try to expose them to as much as possible in their learning experiences.

My reading levels range from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade.

It's important that I read with these children every day in order to get them on grade level in a short amount of time. All my students get free or reduced-price lunches, and all these children love coming to school.

My Project

The English language is what my students want to learn. This language translator device will help enrich my students with new English words. This multi-language, two-way voice translator will translate up to 82 languages with allowing the teacher and EL student to build a deeper connection and fully immerse themselves in the subject we are learning about!

My goal as a teacher is to provide access to the curriculum for all my students and parents.

It is difficult for me to explain expectations when I do not speak the same language as the students or their parents. I teach the English Language Development class so it's important for me to be able to communicate with my students and parents. I am requesting this translator and a case protector for it, to help me communicate with students and parents who speak another language. Please help me make this year a memorable year full of growth and learning!
