This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What can I say about my students other than they are “Specialistically Amazing.” Even with their cognitive development delays not being up to par, they make a great effort in learning and achieving everything they set their minds to do.
My Project
I'd like to give my students the ability to communicate and be heard. Even if at home, they will be able to be heard and get the most appropriate and feasible education. Being able to express themselves and their emotions is key to their emotional well being and gives them independence. It gives parents also the peace of mind and understanding that even if their children may be challenged in other areas, learning and understanding is within their possibilities to succeed. All is greatly appreciated and will be cherished for a long period of time.
