My Students
My students are a very energetic group of individuals who love to learn. They are 2nd graders who attend a title 1 school in a very low socioeconomic demographic population. Majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
Parental involvement is a key factor in a child's academic success.
Unfortunately, many of our students lack parental involvement at school. Therefore, teachers have to seek ways to meet the needs of our students economically. My students will benefit from these resources.
My Project
The purpose of the rectangular rug is to provide a more comfortable space for students to work away from their desk. Research proves today that students perform better when they have the right to move around. In our school, we have hard tile and no carpet.The rug will allow students to sit and lay around comfortably to work with peers to complete assignments.
The purpose of the Behavior Management Pocket Chart with Replacement Cards is to allow students to monitor their very own behavior.
Behavior management is much more effective when students have ownership of their actions. The behavior management will support positive behavior in class!
