This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Beginning the school year in person after two years on line is wonderful. It's amazing how we took that for granted before the pandemic. Returning this year we will start by reading Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters, a story where the main character is a young inventor and creates a machine to help her aunts friend paint. This story will lead my students in an activity where we will use the paint and rocks requested to refresh our learning garden beds, painting them vibrant colors before we begin planting our first harvest.
Science, Art and Literature come alive with this project!
Having these resources will provide my students with the materials they need to start the school with a wonderful, hands-on learning activity.
