This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To keep my kindergarten and first-grade students engaged, I color print and laminate several small resource posters for students to use at home throughout the school year.

For example, in lieu of a classroom sound-spelling-card bulletin board, I provide each student with a miniature one-page version.

Every student gets approximately ten miniature resource posters I hole-punch and group with small binder rings.

Dry-erase markers and whiteboards help teach letters, sounds, penmanship, spelling, etc., Using the I do; we do, you do teaching strategy. I get immediate feedback when I check for understanding.
