I teach at a school in North Florida that has been affected by Hurricane Michael. Many of our students lost their homes, clothes, pets and more during and after the storm. The damage is incalculable.
Yet, our students show up to school ready to learn each day we have been back in session.
This project is to help them in the classroom so they can make the most of this year academically. I want my students to feel successful every day.
My Project
This is project is to get some classroom fundamentals to help start my Kindergarten students off right! Organization is key for any classroom and moving into a new room means my storage needs have changed. The updates to our school mean there are different needs as well. Trying to create a cohesive, stimulating but not overwhelming environment is the driving force of this project. The cubby bins and other organizational and storage items will help me and the students stay on top of things and keep our room safe. Help me teach my kids "a place for everything and everything in its place."
More than a third of students from low‑income households
