My students need books, such as the "Horse Diaries" series, the "A to Z Mysteries Series" and the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series" to read during the summer months!

My Students
Summer reading is essential for students' success in the following year.
I have nine students, five girls and four boys.
They come from different backgrounds of life. The town they live in is primarily an agriculture community; whether it be that their dad farms, or their mom works at the local auction company who does farm sales.
My Project
The books I'm requesting are for the students to keep for the summer. The books I am requesting will provide the students with opportunities to continue reading and keep learning during the summer months. I have picked out three different books for each of my nine students. I have been very observant in seeing what kinds of books my students enjoy.
My observations of my students at the beginning of the year showed me that it was hard for them to get back into the reading groove. I believe providing the students with books of interest will help them continue to read this summer.
Reading is one of the most important subject areas to teach, and with no school in the summer this project will help each of the nine students to stay on top of their reading game.
