My Project

Almost everyone remembers in Kindergarten. The nostalgic feeling of innocence and first friends. From cold, wet paint on a brush tickling small fingers to create hand turkeys for November to sitting on the carpet, waiting with anticipation as the teacher reads the next line from the most interesting story. This is usually the first time that children are introduced to being in a school setting. Children at this age are full of imagination, thoughts, and ideas. Times may have changed, but sowing those fond memories remains. My job as a teacher is to capture that imagination and spark the want for learning.

As a first year teacher, many of the items listed in my project can and will help me create those wistful memories of Kindergarten as your Kindergarten teacher did for you.

Working at a Title 1 school, many students come from hard backgrounds and their only escape from those hardships is school. I want my students to enjoy their time at school while being engaged.
