My students need the 2019 Beehive Book Award nominee children's fiction and nonfiction books.

My Students
My students attend a Title I school, so a majority of the students come from families with low incomes. Some of them are learning English as their second language, and having hands-on and very visual learning experiences are best to really help them get the vocabulary necessary to be successful in school.
My students are full of excitement about learning and love coming to school!
The students I work with are full of great questions and really care about doing their best. Some of them are dealing with challenges in life, but they are all wonderful kids and a joy to work with!
My Project
I am requesting the 2019 Beehive Book Award nominee books for my students to be able to read. These books are all relatively recently released, and I am always looking for good new books to share with my students. These have gone through a series of committees to be selected. I am hopeful I will be able to make these available right in my classroom for my students.
It is fun to engage students in reading with books that are already wildly popular or have been made into movies, but I think a quality new book that they are unfamiliar with really can allow their imaginations to soar.
Ten of these books are fiction and the other ten are nonfiction. There are so many topics and stories being told, I am really excited to get these books in the hands of my students and help them discover a favorite (or two or three!) among the bunch!
