This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am currently a 1st-grade teacher and need your help to fund my writing project. My goal is to get my 1st graders the essential tools and resources to aid their developing writing skills in order to meet the TEKS standards of utilizing the writing process recursively to compose multiple texts that are legible and use appropriate conventions.

My students are learning to write using the writing process and they need the proper tools and resources to become successful writers!

The resources that I’m needing are read-aloud books on how to write, quick-start writing prompt books for weekly practice, flexible writing setting with kid's lap desks, lamp, rug, and caddies, illustrated writing process folders to keep papers organized, pencils, paper, erasers, poly file folders to organize the writing practice prompts, sticky notes to provide feedback, pencil grips to aid and reinforce the proper functional grasp, dash line stamps to support writing by drawing precise dashed lines, finger spacer tool to demonstrate how to skip a space between words, kid-friendly parts of speech anchor charts and writing process mini bulletin board set, and sentence building game boards and dice to aid in writing through gameplay.

We would be very grateful to receive these resources that will highly support my students in becoming successful writers using the writing process!
