This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special education inclusion teacher for grades K-6. I enjoy teaching. My students have set target goals to increase their reading levels by two grade levels by the end of the school year. They are working really hard to achieve their target goal.

I have several high-functioning autistic students that are reading 3 to 4-grade levels below their current grade.

My students need fun and engaging reading resources to make their goals possible. Due to Covid, my students have a gap in their foundational reading skills and these resources will help bridge the reading gap.

My Students will use the whiteboard sentence set, sight word sentence set, and sight word games to help with reading their sight words and writing simple sentences.

I want to provide my students with the resources they need to reach their goals of becoming great readers. I believe theses resources will give me the tools I need to ensure each of my students have what they need to be successful.
