This project has been a success in the past years and I would love to continue it. One of my all-time favorite books is Fish! by Stephen C. Lundin. The book focuses on play and making someone's day, among other things. A quote from the book says, "Making someone's day means going out of your way to create memories that make a difference." This fish philosophy can be applied easily to education and learning.
I want to spark a passion for learning, and I can do this by incorporating play into our lessons.
This project will help my students learn skills through thematic activities. My students will become construction workers to solve real-world math problems about finding the area and perimeter. We already have construction worker hats, but we need safety vests and pencils with pencil sharpeners to fully play the part. Thank you for your consideration in supporting our classroom and making learning come alive.
