This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd graders are students who are ready to become bilinguals, they are anxious to be able to read in both languages (English and Spanish). They are super smart and ready to learn. Our classroom is built by great diversity, and as a teacher, I just want to create a warm and welcoming space.

My Project

These books are going to provide my students a lot of opportunities to continue practicing their reading skills in both languages. They are going to have the chance to go and choose a good book.

"Reading is dreaming with open eyes".

Students will have the chance to choose their books according to what they like, having a lot of options will allow them to become bilingual readers.

Also, these books will be available for them every day, I would love to provide them good books that might help them feel identify with some of the characters and even one of these books can become a guide for them when having a bad day.
