This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm a Reading Interventionist working with students in K-3rd grade. My students come to reading groups excited to learn new reading skills and strategies. They apply these skills and strategies when they read texts. This all helps them become great readers.

Covid affected the way students learn and access learning.

Teachers know that students learn in different ways and having hands on materials and access to borrowing books to read at home will give my students different approaches to reading and several opportunities.

Learning and reading happen in all places, all the time. By funding this project, my students will have opportunities to practice and apply reading in different ways both at school and home!
