My Project

The second-grade students in our classroom are extremely inquisitive. They are always asking about different topics and get very excited when we talk about new concepts.

I believe that the best way to feed their curiosity is by exposing them to informational texts on different interesting topics.

Some themes I would like to cover this year are Hispanic Heritage Month, Black history, as well as Women's history.

Students will be able to practice their decoding skills, improve their reading comprehension, and use the information that they read to compose insightful informational paragraphs.
