My Students

My future students are outstanding, inspiring, and amazing eight and nine year olds ready to learn all they can! I will be teaching third grade for the first time next year. This is a crucial year for students academically and emotionally. The students are truly coming into themselves- developing their own personalities. The materials I am asking for will help the students immensely.

In order to begin the school year on the right foot we want to begin our learning right away with quality materials!

Our school is a K-8 school located in North Philadelphia- all of our children qualify for free/reduced lunches. I want to make sure that my students have all the materials they need to become successful in third grade!

Help my student of next year become the best they can be all while learning in a safe and productive environment with quality math materials!

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The paper I am asking for will allow the students to have their own copies of all class handouts. This is important so the students can focus on their own work without distractions from other students. The markers, glue sticks, and scissors will give students the opportunity to create high quality projects.

The markers will allow the students to fill the notebooks with illustrations- their creativity and imaginations will shine through onto the pages.

In third grade the students are tested with the PSSAs for the very first time. On the PSSAs the students are expected to complete a writing passage. The materials I am requesting will help the students practice their writing skills from day one!
