it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Gone are the days of chalk boards and pencil to paper. Today's world is moving at such a fast pace, and my students need to be able to move with it, not trying to catch up to it.
My students love to be challenged with creativity.
They shine with projects that ask them to go beyond the text and into their imagination. But they need an outlet to share these great projects. Instead of holding up a brochure they have created for the few in the front seats to see, they can instead place it under a document camera for the entire class to see. How simple a difference; how powerful a result.
My Project
A document camera will help to move my classroom into the 21st century. As a teacher, it will help me to add depth to my lessons by being able to provide visuals in terms of art, graphic organizers, etc... For my students, it will allow them to present projects to the entire class in a much larger sense. For the classroom, it will allow for better group presentations after a cooperative learning exercise.
Because of the tough budget crisis, poster paper has become scarce, and art materials have become difficult to procure.
Projects have shrunk in size, but their value has not diminished. A document camera could make all the difference in helping my classroom stay with the present, and now regress to the past. Please help us stay the course.
