My Project
With this project, I am hoping to become a National Board Certified Teacher. I am requesting assistance for registration, and one of the four components that are required for the National Board program. I want to be the best teacher that I can be for my students, and that requires me to always push forward and learn. National Board Certification is a rigorous process by which teachers become more effective in the classroom. National Board Certification will give me opportunities to evaluate the professional I am, and the professional I want to be.
There is a decade of research to support the impact that Board-certified teachers have on students.
Students of Board-certified teachers learn more than their peers without Board-certified teachers. Studies have also found that the positive impact of having a Board-certified teacher is even greater for BiPOC and low-income students.
