My Students

Because the people who are crazy enough to change the world are the ones who do." Steve Jobs The children in the classrooms today are the ones who will be running our country in the future. Technology has changed the world in so many ways and is continuing to change.

I have a classroom of 24 inquiring minds.

My kids are living in a technology driven world and are constantly wanting to know more. As they read books, they want to know more. Our school is blessed with technology in the classroom, unfortunately many of our computers are slowly starting to break and are no longer useful. My students are very hardworking and are eager to learn all that they can. I have a wide range of students in my class. Some of my students struggle with some of the curriculum being taught and need interventions, while others need enrichment to challenge them to think through real-life problems.

My Project

By having new technology in the classroom, students will have the opportunity to do research when they want to learn more. They will also have the opportunity to practice different skills on their level and it will help differentiate in the classroom, meeting the needs of each of my students. There are so many programs out there today that help students practice reading strategies, math strategies, and to learn more in science and social studies. Students are also starting to enjoy writing their own stories. Having these 3 Chromebooks in the classroom will allow my students to publish their writings on the computer and share it with others. They will be able to email their parents their writings to help keep their parents involved and will take more pride in their work. Technology is a wonderful tool for interventions to help the struggling students and also, enrichment for the students who need a challenge. It keeps students engaged and makes them want to learn more.

Having technology in the classroom will help meet the needs of so many students and help them become more excited about learning and want to learn more.

I appreciate any donations to help my students become 21st century learners.
