My Project
As a third-year ninth-grade Literature and Composition teacher at our High School and College Career Academy in Columbus, Georgia, I’m eager to help my students start their high school journey with confidence, motivation, and the tools they need to succeed.
Many of my students face daily challenges that go far beyond the classroom, and often come to school without the basic supplies needed to fully participate.
As educators, we step in as mentors, encouragers, and second parents—doing everything we can to ensure that what our students don’t have doesn’t stand in the way of what they can achieve.
With your support, I’ll be able to provide essential classroom materials, including lap boards, crayons, markers, and folders, so that every student can focus on learning, not worrying about whether they brought the right notebook or have a pen that works. These items may seem small, but for my students, they represent possibility, dignity, and readiness.
