Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach fourth grade with a class of 29 in a greatly underfunded classroom and district. I have a wide range of needs and levels among my students.

In our building we have no access to any printer of any color. My students work diligently to make their projects look beautiful, but are unable to see these materials off of the computer screen. For example, my students create a series of print flyers, brochures, maps, and papers to learn about the regions and states of the U.S. They also create computer models of animal and plant cells and plate tectonics which are printed with pride.

If my class had access to a color printer then all students could share their creative talent and ideas. They would be extremely excited to prepare materials such as brochures, word art, and reports knowing they would be something to be proud of. This will encourage excitement and interest in all curriculum areas for our students!

Please help our kids learn to love their work and create in brilliant, beautiful color!
