I teach a 4th-grade inclusion class at a New York City, Title I elementary school where all children qualify for free breakfast and lunch. My students are both general and special education.
My classroom is a diverse population of students from a mosaic of cultures.
My students thrive when I differentiate instruction to meet their learning needs. I have a diverse family of students who are in language acquisition and basic learning modes. With students of such different learning abilities, I strive to create an inclusive and warm accepting classroom.
My goal this year is to create a dynamic and warm 4th-grade family where all my students feel free to express themselves and feel pride in who they are. As I tap into the talents of my students, it's important for me to have the supplies they need to create and learn.
You can make a difference by giving my students a wonderful new avenue for expression.
My Project
My students need the materials required to keep up with their education. In these uncertain times it is more important than ever to make sure students get the education they need to succeed in life. When students do not have those materials they cannot be prepared for a successful work day.
Help give my students the notebooks they will need to be successful scholars this year.
With these notebooks, students will have the opportunity to keep their work in an organized manner. They will be able to see themselves as the scholars they really are.
