This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are just learning how to read, so I want it to be as much fun as possible.
I chose books that will allow all of my students to see themselves represented in the text. These books will show them that their culture and experiences are valued. I will also allow us to learn about cultures and people who are different from ourselves.
I chose books that teach us about emotions so that we can regulate ourselves. And I chose books that are fun and funny, so my students will love reading.
