Our school corporation is a rural district, trying to equip our students with the skills and experiences to be successful in our ever-changing world. I have the privilege to teach first grade, in our small rural district.
My first grade students are excited about the world around them.
As their teacher, it is my goal to create opportunities to make them curious about the world around them. My goal is to empower them to ask questions and find answers. My students are world changers.
My Project
Our classroom library needs a makeover to make our books more accessible. I believe in the power of books and so do my students. I am asking for baskets to keep them organized so my students can book shop easily.
When you can match the right student with the right books, you create a reader.
I am looking for ways to help students find books that interest them. I am really good at buying books but need these baskets to help organize the books in our classroom library. I plan on using the colored baskets to separate the fiction and nonfiction texts. I am also excited about the new titles in this project. Readers are leaders!
