My Students
The students at my school generally come from low economic backgrounds. Most students crave that extra support from other adults around the school. Also, these students need some extra guidance academically, behaviorally, and/or socially.
As the resource teacher/special educational teacher, I have the pleasure to work with students in a smaller group setting; giving my students that extra support that they crave academically, behaviorally, and/or socially.
I have the opportunity to meet each of my student's individual needs to help ensure success in that child, and to see them explore the feeling of accomplishment that every child wants to achieve.
My Project
My students have been working hard on their Canvas assignments to earn their Chromebooks from the district. Yes, our students have to earn their Chromebook cart and my students succeeded. Now that we have our own Chromebook cart in the classroom, my students need some additional items to help make their independent learning time a bit easier.
First, my students need earbuds so they can listen to their individualized assignments on their Chromebooks.
With differentiation, my students are working on different assignments and at their own pace. Earbuds will help them focus on their individualized assignment while the teacher is pulling small groups. Next, my students need an earbud organizer to place their earbuds in at school and keep them safe. These earbuds will not be going home until the end of the school year. Lastly, my students need some flexible seating options while they are working on their independent assignments.
I am always looking for new ways to ensure that my students are receiving the best educational support I can offer. These items will be a great additional to our classroom learning environment.
More than half of students from low‑income households
