My Students
My students are from a low income area in Miami Gardens, Florida. Even with the lack of resources that they may have, they still make the best out of nothing. They come to school each day with a willingness to learn. They have so much potential and there is no limit for them.
You can see it in their eyes that they are trying to beat the odds and create a better life for themselves through their education.
They make me proud to be their teacher. Most will complain about the lack there of, but my students take it in stride and make it happen no matter what. They truly believe that they are going to succeed in life. Guess what? They will!
My Project
Since our middle school is a Title I school, we are at a standstill when it comes to the resources we need to have a productive learning environment. The technology in our classroom is outdated and it is often a hard task to get anything done given the circumstances. This Microsoft Surface Laptop will help the whole class to a more effective learning environment and give the class something they can take ownership of and be proud of. It’s theirs so they have to take care of it and treat it as such because they know another will be hard to come by. This Microsoft surface laptop will be a great start to helping my students with the daily use of technology.
