This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are creative, active, loving, full of questions and inspiring! They absolutely enjoy fun, hands-on activities.
They are active learners who need movement throughout the day in order to allow them to explore and interact with one another.
Early Childhood Education is the focus of our school. We offer busing services which bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. 75% of my students come from low income families. Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly on the go while learning, they need new hands-on activities every week that allow them to focus and emerge as readers. By having this extra support we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs. These preschoolers are really an amazing group that fill my day with their smiles, questions and original ideas.
My Project
Our preschool kids need outdoor play, but during sunny and hot days this can be challenging. Help us with two Badger Basket covered convertible cedar sandboxes with canopy and bench seats, one sand and water station and some extra sand toys. Can you imagine our students playing with sand under a nice canopy?!
Outdoor play is so important for gross and fine motor skills development and providing our students the opportunity to play outside during days with no shade could help them to continue developing these skills.
Please help the preschool bears to have some fun and shade for spring and summer season. Thank you!
