I teach sixth grade social studies in a public school. The school I teach in has a high population of students receiving free or reduced lunch.
Our classrooms are small. It is sometimes difficult to provide autonomy and personal space for my students. This is especially true when students are working on different assignments. For example, if most students are writing but a couple of students need to read, it would be beneficial to separate these students so they can get their reading done.
The beanbag chairs would provide a space (an alterative space) for students to read books, review rubrics, talk about projects, etc. I have seen this at work in other schools. It also seeks to accommodate the multiple intelligences of the students.
I hope that you can help provide me with these three chairs. They would be a welcomed addition to my classroom. Thank you.
