Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Obtaining new classroom furniture is always difficult. Even then, the furniture is rarely new, but a beat up old piece that just got moved into your room. On top of that, you are subjected to pieces that don't truly work with your classroom space.
Students deserve to have flexible seating that offers comfort and the security of keeping their bag in a clean, separate space.
The bean bag chairs will be used as incentives for students, rewarding them with a fun, comfortable chair breaking the monotony of the uncushioned seats they sit in all day.
My students also do not have a place to put their backpacks other than piling them up on the floor. The cubbies will give them individualized, clean locations to put their bags each day helping maintain cleanliness around the room.
