My Students
Remember seeing something completely awesome for the first time? What if this happened everyday at school?
My students question everything.
For many, so much in life is a question. My unbelievable students are the reason I get up with a smile on my face in the morning. They are young, curious, and always keep me on my toes. As soon as I hook them on a subject, questions come flying at warp speed. They are survivors, coming from homes that don't have much. They support themselves, their siblings, but above all, each other. Our school is made up of over 85% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. For many, breakfast and lunch at school is the only food they get in the day. At home, my students are often on their own. In my class, I try to give each student a safe place to learn. I strive to make my room a place where dreams are dreamed and futures are realized.
My Project
By having a classroom iPad and apple tv, we will be able to create presentations, explore new materials and see new findings in science everyday. They will see how much technology can show us and teach us, even though it might not look like it from the start.
Technology can be and is fun, but it also shows us so much more.
By funding this project, many doors will be opened through apps to help review materials and through investigations students will be able to partake in. Thank you!
