My Project
The materials I am requesting for our Beads of Creativity and Friendship project will make a meaningful impact on my students’ learning by enhancing their fine motor skills, creativity, and social-emotional development. Stringing beads requires patience and focus, helping students develop hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills as they create patterns and designs. Additionally, this activity will reinforce math concepts like counting and sequencing in a hands-on, engaging way.
My goal for this project is to provide students with a creative outlet where they can express themselves, build confidence, and strengthen friendships.
Through this club, students will learn the value of collaboration, generosity, and perseverance as they design and share their creations. The process of making bracelets will also serve as a calming activity, helping students develop mindfulness and emotional regulation skills.
What makes my students special is their resilience, curiosity, and kindness. Many of them face daily challenges beyond the classroom, yet they continue to show up eager to learn and grow. They thrive in hands-on activities that allow them to explore their creativity and connect with others in meaningful ways. This project will give them a space where they feel valued and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging and accomplishment.
