Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a sixth-grade teacher at a Title I school, and I believe that building strong relationships and giving students something fun and safe to do creates a positive school culture and environment.

My goals are to help every student feel supported, loved, and part of the school community.

The beads and bracelet materials for this project will be used to make friendship bracelets. My students will be able to meet together during social-emotional learning time to build friendships, and a sense of community, and make the bracelets. This will help support the social, emotional, and mental health of students.

I want to strengthen our school culture. Positive school cultures help create strong relationships, which will help students feel safe, and supported, and create a better learning environment.
