This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a diverse population of 16 Pre-K students. They come from countries from the Middle East, Indian, Vietnam, and Mexico. All my students are second language learners and come from low-income families. In fact, many of these families are recent immigrants from their counties.

My 3-5 years olds are energetic and inquisitive students.

They come to school with a smile and are ready to learn each day.

My Project

Many of my students has never has the experience of building sand castle or stepping barefoot on the beach since they lived in an urban neighborhood. So providing the opportunity for them to experience this would be like eating ice cream for the first time. They will be so excited to create sand castle with their friends and use construction trucks to help build a strong foundation for their dream castle.

The play sands will allow them to use their imagination and be creative in generating anything they want.

Lastly, this will allow friendship to blossom and create collaboration among our friends. WE LOVE DONOR CHOOSE!!!
