Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom environment, self-care and wellness play a crucial role in promoting mental health and overall well-being among students. Incorporating nutritional snacks, coffee, protein drinks, and an ambient classroom environment into the school day not only supports physical health, but also has profound effects on students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
High school students may experience various stressors, including academic pressure, social challenges, and familial issues.
As a teacher, by providing healthy snack options, coffee, accessible drinks and creating a healthy environment, using lighting and eye massager to reduce eye strain, I can help to improve academics and concentration during classes. This will help students focus more effectively on their work in the classroom.
Our students already have enough to worry about such as grades, work, parenting, scholarships, and standardized testing. Hunger and dehydration take a toll on my students’ ability to learn and perform.
