This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have an integrated learning environment for preschool students. In an integrated classroom, students with special needs and typically developing students can learn from one another regardless of their unique abilities.
My students love engaging in sensory exploration and with every new discovery brings me joy as their teacher as it fosters language skills and open-ended learning.
The light table will allow students to explore and observe objects in new ways, providing a unique sensory learning experience.
My students are making progress with emotional regulation but continue to need support. The calming and soothing effect of the sensory light table can help my students relax and self-regulate their emotions. My goal is to use the light table to support my students within all domains of development (cognitive, social, emotional, language, and motor skills development).
